" It is not the one that has left that is suffering, it is those that are left behind."
Many times when a loved one passes and we are left behind with a sense of emptiness and uncertainty of what to do next. How do you move on? How do you let go? A gravesite service with a dove release presents a quiet moment of reflection and comfort. It gives closure and a sense of enlightenment that the spirit has lifted and become free. A poem may be read before releasing the bird(s) explaining to others present the symbology or the verse from the Old Testament, Psalm 55:6 "Oh, that I had wings like a Dove! For then I would fly away and be at rest."
